pCommunity members came together in Minneapolis on July 16 after the officer-involved shooting death of Australian woman Justine Ruszczyk (also known as Justine Damond) who was killed after reporting a disturbance to police.ppLate on Saturday, July 15, police were calleda to a “possible assault”. Police said “at one point an officer fired their weapon, fatally striking a woman.”ppFriends and colleagues of Justine gathered on Sunday afternoon to pay tribute, speaking about police brutality and raising concerns that police did not activate their bodycams. Those gathered, including Michelle Gross, a member of Communities United Against Police Brutalitya, demanded the names of police involved.pp“She was being a good neighbour. And she lost her life being a good neighbour. This is unacceptable,” Gross told the crowd.
