Take the Vulture Droid, make it faster and more maneuverable, give it more armor, and an even smaller hit box, and you have the Tri-Fighter. I suspect that the AI on these is actually a step higher than the settings indicate, but I won't make excuses for my poor aim. Again, in these hopelessly outgunned situations, I recommend single fire lasers, and drop down to 13 throttle when you're ready to take a shot...although, this makes you very vulnerable to the other fighters closing in on you.
