The Bombay High Court on Thursday issued a notice to the Centre and the Maharashtra government demanding response to a plea for exemption of Goods and Services Tax (GST) on sanitary napkins. Shetty Women Welfare Foundation, a Mumbai-based NGO had approached the court on 29 June seeking exemption of GST on sanitary napkins.
