Like other kids of his age, he also wants to be in a warm nest filled with affection, happiness and playfulness. But the grim confrontation between his parents puts a mark of fright and frustration on his tender mind. The in-depth impact of regular and grave domestic conflicts makes him feel like encaged. Rick longs for his best friend Bubun, who has left the neighbourhood to a far-off place in a different corner of globe leaving Rick alone. The sequence of events paints the pain of Rick, portrayed against the backdrop of hollowness created by the absence of his best friend. The words Rick writes to Bubun in a letter, metaphorically depict his own fate and languishment through the narration of an incident. His note ends with a dream of reunion with his dearest friend and a freedom from his world of morbid despair towards a happy togetherness.
