The film was remade in Malayalam as Junior Senior (2005) with Kunchacko Boban, Mukesh, Meenakshi, Renjini Krishnan and Tamil as Guru En Aalu (2009) with R. Madhavan, Abbas, Mamta Mohandas, Brinda Parekh. The rights to this film are owned by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment.
