The King of Soul Society the lichpin that binds all of Hueco mundo, Soul society and the real world. If he is to fall then all should fall. However who is The Soul King. How long has he been King? Who was he before? How did he get there? Was there another King before him? Who will take his place? We are left with many questions and wont get all the answers which when talking about a God figure perhaps its adequate there is some mystery. However lets try to answer some of these questions and mysteries.\rbr\rbrWe must ask ourselves The Soul King is the Father of Juha Bach who is the King and first Quincy however is this his only child. The Soul King gave birth to an entire different species in the Quincy. There could be more offspring perhaps other unique individuals we know little about their childhood! Could someone with massive power and abilities like Aizen also be the Son of The Soul King? Its fun to think about as we know nothing really about Aizens \rbrparents or origins and being that the Soul King has offspring and separated parts who knows if Aizen isnt part of The Soul King in some way. Or even someone like Urahara who has been to the Soul Kings palace. I am sure the list could go on of people with ties to the Soul King that have unique and powerful abilities far beyond typical Captains of the Shinigami. \rbr\rbrNow we take a look at the Shinigami and while they have a duty to uphold certain laws and view these as absolute, there is one thing they do is try to have control. Control starts and ends with the Soul King whos soul purpose is to regulate the flow of souls into and out of Soul Society and keep this flow stable. However did he always do that. Did he give birth to the Shinigami or did the Shinigami find a truly unique individual and realize long ago\rbrthat he was to be King of Soul Society and uphold this tremendous task. To then forever balance the worlds.\rbr\rbrThe Shinigami must maintain balance and anytime in the history of Bleach someone who is abnormally gifted or powerful comes along and threatens that balance the Shinigami step in. Whether it was exterminating the Quincy 1,000 years ago or if you remember Koga whos zanpakuto Muramasu could control all other \rbrZanpakutos was set to be neutralized because it was deemed to powerful. The Central 46 forbid Shunshui from trying to teach Kenpachi the art of killing for they feared his power could some day turn against them. The Shinigami have always been about balance and control and with this always even if it the \rbrgenocide of the Quincy they feel its justified and absolute. \rbr\rbrThe Soul Kings power is absolutely immense and I believe that he was split into different parts and his power sealed so he could uphold his duty as King. The Shinigami realized his power and new that he was to be the first King of Soul Society. They split the soul king up into different parts and sealed away his massive reiastu in the prison that he called home. The King was both a figure head and prisoner of the Shinigami. However he realized he\rbrwas destined for this role. Being that he possessed so many gifts. Gifts that he would give to his children.\rbr\rbrWith the Soul King now dead most of our answers about his history sadly will be left to our speculations but it has been mentioned that someone must take his place. Now I would imagine it cant just be anyone, being that task of the Soul King it would have to be someone of an Aizen type stature because a certain amount of Reiastsu is required. However doubtful that Aizen is wanting to be sealed again as King. I honestly dont know how Kubo plans to wrap this up and it being rushed so we wont ever know unless a sequel to Bleach is done where there is a turn back the pentulum and we get the early history of the Zero Squad and Soul Society explained. \rbr\rbrSo let me know what you guys think of the origin of the Soul King did he create the Shinigami or did the Shinigami subjugate him cause of his immense power when he was born and put him into place as the Sealed King.
