Private Helicopter Lands By Cracker Barrel l Cockpit View

My first off airport landing as a private helicopter pilot! Would be cool if you shared...or not?\rbr\rbrWe departed John C. Tune (KJWN) and followed I-24W all the way to Exit 4 where this Cracker Barrel is located. The reconnaissance was done to check for anything that would get in the way of landing as well as a wind check. There were no wind socks or flags I could see, so I used distant smoke as an indication of wind direction. The approach was kept with a right quartering headwind to keep the approach over the open field and the convenience store, powerlines, or traffic. \rbr\rbrOnce at touchdown, the ground was too wet so I re-positioned to a more stable spot so the helicopter wouldnt sink in. \rbr\rbrIf youre in the Middle Tennesse area or around Nashville and would like to fly with us check out HeliStar Aviation: \rbr\rbr\rbr\rbrThanks for watching and remember NONE of my videos are EVER a substitution for ual flight instruction or time in ANY aircraft.
