I have fond memories of this cartoon, which debuted in 1963. The animation is quite sparse, a la Felix the Cat, but then I think Trans-Lux had a hand in the Felix cartoons as well.\rbr\rbrTheis not politically correct for kids these days. A tad too violent. Not to mention some nightmarish monsters. (Thats probably what I liked about it!)\rbr\rbrHercules looks an awful lot like Superman. His pal, the centaur Newton, is an annoying little f--k who repeats everything he says. Seems like I couldnt stand him even when I was only nine.\rbr\rbrThe writers played fast and loose with the mythology, but what do you expect from a cartoon? Id forgotten how fine Helena and Wilhemine were drawn (sort of an ancient times Betty and Veronica deal).
