This is Omayra Sanchez, whose body was pinned beneath the debris of her house after a mudslide leveled her village. She was trapped in water for three days giving while relief workers worked to save her. Near the end of her life, her hands and face began to swell, and her eyes turned red, giving her a surreal appearance as she clung to life and faded away. In a panic, he dragged Maddie back to the house and attempted to strangle her with a phone cord. When that failed, he stabbed her eleven times and then hid her body in a water mattress. The body wasnt discovered until his mother, Melissa Phillips noticed a leak in the mattress and noticed that the leak was caused by Maddie Cliftons corpse. \rbr\rbr\rbr\rbr# 3 Eric Smith\rbrIn 1993, Eric Smith who was then 13 years old brutally murdered four year old Derrick Robie. The young boy was walking home from a Boys and Girls Club program when Eric Smith grabbed him and dragged him to the woods nearby. Smith continued to torture the small boy eventually leading to his death in what is sometimes ranked as one of the most heinous crimes in recent history. He has been convicted of murder and was serving nine years to life in prison and has been denied parole since 2002. This is an image of a then 8-year-old girl named Daphkalia Brignol, who survived the disaster. During the earthquake a door fell onto her head, causing an injury that left her eyes bloodshot. Her injury forced her to carry a scary memento of a terrifying moment of her life.\rbr\rbr\rbr\rbr\rbr# 1 Alyssa Bustamonte\rbrIn new, a 15-year-old Alyssa Bustamonte lured her nine-year-old neighbor Elizabeth Olsen into the Missouri Woods where she murdered and then buried her. Her only motive? To see what it felt like to murder someone else. Later in her diary, she wrote that it felt “ahmazing” and that it was “pretty enjoyable” to do. It took hundreds of volunteers two days to find Elizabeth Olsens buried body. Bustamonte was eventually convicted and charged with first-degree murder with a mandatory life sentence. She took a plea deal to serve 35 years in jail instead but is currently going through the process of appealing for parole.
