A 5.8-magnitude earthquake was recorded in China’s southwestern province of Sichuan at 08:55 GMT, according to the US Geological Survey. The quake shook at a shallow depth of 9.8 kilometers and occurred 38 kilometers northwest of the city of Kangding.
