Merry Christmas everyone! In this video I am making a knife with HDPE handle scales, kydex shealth and a display box for my unlce for Christmas. The steel is 440 stainless, I tried a method for hardening it I found on some forums since 440 is air hardened, I dont have a set up for that. The other method worked great. Was tempered in the oven at 380 degrees for 2 hours. It is much different than 1095 steel, how it cuts and grinds. The box was made from pine. HDPE from milk jugs, and other various HDPE items.
