to use NVIDIA drivers on GNOME Wayland Session, you need to set NVIDIA DRM. in Ubuntu you can do that by setting 'modeset=1' on 'etcmodprobe.dnvidia-graphics-drivers.conf' and regenerate initiram-fs by 'sudo update-initramfs -u'br br after restarting you will get the Wayland option on GDM.
