Ever since Frozen came out this has been my most requested song, video and charer.I got to cover Love Is an Open Door last year & had such a blast channeling Anna, but all Ive heard since is Let it Go! Elsa! Elsa! ELSA! haha. Let me preface by saying I love Frozen, and I love both sisters. I was immediately drawn to Anna for her warmth, derpy-ness and bubbly, outspoken personality. But over the course of this Let It Go project, Ive really come to love this song, and Elsa has become a charer that is very close to my heart. I think weve all experienced times in our lives when weve felt overwhelmed, like failures, and utterly alone. When we start to let fear make us see our God-given gifts as curses instead and we try to hide them. When we feel like we dont fit in, dont deserve to, and we separate ourselves. But then there comes a time when we need to just let go and accept ourselves for exly who God made us to be. Maybe some of you might think its silly to delve so deep into a cartoon charer, but I think Elsas story is important, and theres a reason that Frozen has become such a phenomenon for kids (& kids at heart) all over the world. I think that maybe now more than ever people are suffering, and this story lets people know that theyre not alone in their struggles. That they are unique and special for who they are; not when they try to fit in, but when they stand out honestly for who they were born to be. I believe when we are using the gifts God has given us we are fulfilling our destinies. \rbrIve been wanting to fulfill your requests for this song and cover it here on YouTube for such a long time, but I didnt want to do it halfway, which is why its taken me so long to release this video. One that brought new & dear friendships, collaborations & a trip to one of the most beautiful snowy places Ive ever been to-the Ice Castle at Midway Utah! Ive never been colder in my life, I was super sick with bronchitis, and some plans fell through at the last minute, but none of that mattered, because this was one of the best experiences Ive ever had!
