This is a great beginner project! Theres no wrong way to make them. You just pick out your tiles and glue them onto your rock. The only thing you need to pay attention to is how close together your tiles are.\rbr\rbrOnce you have all your tiles glued onto the rocks, it is time to mix up the grout. Mixing grout is easy. Well show you how. Just follow the directions on your package of grout to know how much water to add to your grout. We ually like to start with the water in our mixing container and then add the grout to it. Our grout called for 1 part water to 7 parts grout. Mix the grout and water together until it is the texture of natural peanut butter. If it is too dry, add a little more water.\rbr\rbrOnce the grout is mixed you have 15 minutes to use it. That means if you want to tint the grout, do it now and dont dilly-dally! Just squirt a little craft paint into the grout and mix together. We used black acrylic craft paint to get a dark gray grout. We like a grout color that sets off the colors of the tiles.\rbr\rbrTo grout your rocks, smear the grout right over the tiles and press it into all the spaces between the tiles. Wipe off any excess grout and let the rock sit for 30 minutes. Now you can buff the surfaces of the tiles with a damp paper towel.\rbr\rbrLet the mosaic garden rock dry over night, then paint a thin layer of mosaic grout sealer over it.
