A basic palette of water colours will take you all the way. Even though you will need some skin adhesive, a bald cap and some fake blood too, its still fairly simple supplies that should be available to everyone almost anywhere in the world. If you dont have silver paint to use on the shrapnel pieces you can always you aluminium foil to create the shrapnel.
