This video is a demo of the ftvox project done at 42born2code () br br As you can see it basically consists of a voxel world that is procedurally generated. We used C++ and OpenGL to realize this project. We implemented a diamond square algorithm for our terrain generation, which features a few biomes such as lakes, snowy mountains, beaches and caves. br br This video is a bit frustrating because the software used to record the video (QuickTime Player) really slowed down the fps rate of the program so we basically had to reduce the render distance. It's 256 blocks in the video, and the subject required 160 and considered 224 a bonus but without QuickTime Player running we can go as high as 384 practically without any FPS drop (That is on an iMac from late 2012 with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB). Also the video quality really isn't good.
