When I am doing my lectures a common question is: What is the highest energy efficiency for an LED. The answer is not simple because the market is moving fast. What I can tell is that the highest energy efficiency for an LED is 305 lmW (2016), however measured in a laboratory. When we're moving to the market then the highest energy efficiency is around 260 lmW for the LED itself.
