Some much needed excitement was injected into the 1-1 draw between Macedonian side FK Vardar and Norwegian champions Rosenborg in Skopje on December 7 by dog invading the field of play.
The Europa League fixture in FK Vardar’s Philip II Arena was halted briefly as the home team lined up a free kick only for fans to turn their attention to the canine intruder. The dog wandered into the center of the field, where FK Vardar’s goalkeeper went to meet him.
The keeper’s attempt to make friends with the pooch didn’t work out however and soon stadium officials arrived to run the dog — who was being cheered wildly by the crowd — off the pitch. Credit: Aleksandar Pavlovski via Storyful
