Portuguese Air Force Transports Ailing Passenger From Cruise Ship

br pThe Portuguese Air Force transported a passenger who was in need of medical aid from the cruise ship Aida Blu on Monday, December 11.ppAccording to local reports from Expressoa and Correio de Manhaa, the passenger, a 47-year-old man, required “urgent medical care.” His condition was not specified, but he was taken via helicopter to Lisbon’s Aerodromo de Transito No. 1, a military airport, for assistance.ppAt the time of the rescue, the Aida Blu had sailed more than 155 miles from Montijo, a municipality in western Portugal. It was travelling under strong weather conditions, including heavy winds of more than 43 miles per hour and 26 foot waves.ppThis footage shows a first-person view of the Air Force members arriving on the ship and transporting the man.
