pA cargo ship suffered an engine failure and was adrift in fierce weather conditions off of the Isle of Lewis on Thursday, December 14, requiring assistance from two lifeboats, an emergency tugboat and the Stornoway Coastguard helicopter.ppThis footage shows the ship floating in what were described as “Force 8-10 winds and a swell of up to 6-8 meters (26 feet).”ppFive crew members were on board the vessel and deployed anchors while awaiting coastguard assistance.ppAccording to a report from the BBCa, the MV Fame was expected to to towed back to Stornoway Harbour on Saturday morning.
