pPolice arrested a man after he allegedly assaulted a police officer in Balmoral Ridge, Queensland, on December 22.ppThe man allegedly attacked the officer in the head while he was pulled over during a routine intercept. After that, he stole the officer’s helmet attached to a bodycam, which recorded the incident. The 47-year-old male sergeant was treated for facial injuries.ppAfter police issued an appeala on December 24, Keven De Vroom, 45, turned himself in to police on December 27 at Maroochydore Police Stationa where he was charged with a number of offences.
