A New York corporate lawyer has been convicted on charges related to a fraud scheme.
According to court documents, Evan Greebel aided a pharmaceutical executive to steal millions from a drug company to pay back investors in two hedge funds.
He was found guilty of committing wire and security fraud.
The case is related to Martin Shkreli and his tenure at Retrophin Inc.
The 44-year-old Greebel advised Shkreli at the time through the law firm Katten Muchin Rosenman.
