On Friday, Republican Representative Martha McSally of Arizona announced she will run for the Senate seat being vacated by Jeff Flake. McSally, a former Air Force combat pilot, has been pushed recently by GOP leaders to enter the race as she is seen as a more moderate candidate. McSally, who has served as a representative since 2015, is scheduled to hold events in the Arizona cities of Tucson and Prescott later on Friday.
