Searching for Giant Paddlefish in Montana

I was invited to go fishing for giant paddlefish (one of the largest freshwater species of fish in North America) in Montana. I had the opportunity to work with local biologists that study paddlefish in the Missouri River. We used gill nets to catch and release these fish. Paddlefish are filter feeders and feed mostly on plankton, which makes catching them on bait or lures nearly impossible. There are only two ways to catch paddlefish, either snagging or netting.\rbr\rbr▼ To learn more about the species of fish caught in this video, click the links below: \rbr\rbr• Paddlefish → \rbr\rbr▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ABOUT BLACKTIPH ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬\rbr\rbrBlacktipH Fishing brings you some of the most exciting fishing videos on the web.
