Its a 14 square mile forest located at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan and is said to be a common suicide site for visitors. About 70 suicides occur each year within the forest, and those are just the ones that are found. Theres even a sign posted just outside the trail leading into the forest urging suicidal visitors to call a suicide prevention hotline. Japanese psychics believe the deaths that have occurred in the forest have infiltrated the trees and are causing some serious paranormal ivity to take place. It is said that you can hear screaming in the forest at night and forest workers who are forced to move the dead bodies to a special house used to hold the corpses have said the bodies will move on their own.\rbr\rbr4 - The Bhanghar Fort, India – Due to the terrifying legend of this fort, visitors are forbidden from staying on the premises overnight – hows that for creepy? The fort was built in the 17th century and locals are so afraid of the fort that the city on Bhangarh was developed outside its limits so as not to disturb the ghosts. Many believe there is a curse on the fort, put there by a scorned wizard, who was in love with a girl who didnt return his affection. Its believed that both the wizard and the girls ghosts haunt the fort. There have been several deaths that were attributed to the paranormal ivity within the fort, as well. The most famous was a group of visitors who, against the warnings, entered the fort at night and came across a boy sitting in one of the rooms. Little detail is given as to what happened to them, but the level of secrecy leaves you to draw your own conclusion.\rbr\rbr3 - The Tower of London – The Tower of London has had so many stories of ghosts, it could have its own list. From Ann Boleyn to Henry the VI to Lady Jane Grey to nameless ghosts seen by many visitors, its easy to count this landmark among one of the most haunted places in the world. Obviously Ann Boleyn is one of the more famous of the alleged ghosts wandering the tower, she was famously beheaded for treason by Henry Vİ in 1536 and its said that her headless body wanders the White Tower with her head tucked under her arm. This apparition has been seen by so many visitors, that its almost lost its shock value and seems to just be treated as a normal occurrence.\rbr\rbr2 - Eastern State Penitentiary, Pennsylvania – Considered one of the most haunted places in the United States, Eastern State Penitentiary has been the focus of documentaries, ghost hunting expeditions and private ghost investigations for years. Located in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, the prison was used between 1829 to 1971. One of its most famous inmates was Al Capone, who served time in 1929. After it was no longer in use as a prison it was named a US National Historic Landmark and has been turned into a museum. The penitentiary has a long 142 year history of murder, torture, suicide, and disease, which is the stuff of a great ghost story. Visitors of the prison recant tales of echoing voices and scream from within the cells, seeing shadowy silhouettes in the dark halls, and the sounds of footsteps that seem to approach and then just stop in thin air. \rbr\rbr1 - Château de Châteaubriant, France – This castle dates all the way back to the beginning of the 11th century. At the beginning of the 16th century, the castle was owned by Jean de Laval and his wife Francoise. At that time, de Laval was called upon by the King to come to court and advise him. Francoise became a lady in waiting to the Queen and secretly began an affair with the king. When de Laval found out about the affair he allegedly poisoned Francoise on October 16, 1537.
