This video will take some self-discipline, as not only do I introduce DBT Mindfulness, but ask you to practice this as I lead you for about 10 minutes. I think that an experience may help the skill make more sense, and be easier to incorporate into your life.br br Research on the benefits of Mindfulness has exploded in recent years. The regular practice of mindfulness has been shown to:br br Increase emotional regulationbr Decrease distraction and ruminationbr Increase activity in the brain region associated with positive emotionsbr Decrease anger and emotional irritabilitybr Decrease depression and anxietybr Increase immune functionbr br I think it helps us to live our lives more fully, honestly, and with more aliveness.
