DALTON, GEORGIA — A Georgia teacher has been arrested for firing his weapon inside a classroom.br br The incident comes days after Trump and his NRA buddies proposed that arming would help prevent school tragedies.br br The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that on Wednesday morning, Dalton High School teacher Jesse Randall Davidson locked himself in a classroom and pulled out a gun he had hidden in his computer case.br br When the principal tried to unlock the door with his key, Davidson closed it on him and fired a single bullet through the window.br br Students and faculty were quickly led out of the building. No one was hurt apart from a female student who injured her ankle while evacuating.br br The school's resource officer talked to Davidson and eventually persuaded him to surrender after a 45-minute standoff.br br No one knows why the 53-year-old did what he did, though local reports do say he once tried to confess to having someone murdered.br br For now, he's facing charges of aggravated assault, carrying a weapon on school grounds, terroristic threats, reckless conduct, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime, and disrupting a public school.
