The white gouache is just like watercolor, except its opaque - not transparent (as watercolors), so you also need to dilute it with water.\rbr\rbrI love painting the traditional watercolor way, where you use white paper as your medium, but I wanted to create something different, deeper in colors, more vibrant. So I started using white gouache to add light, highlights, reflections and sometimes mix it with watercolors to get a newlighter color.
