Home Automation Demo with Home Assistant, Raspberry Pi, LIFX, and More

This is a demo video of my home automation system that utilizes Home Assistant running on a Raspberry Pi. Connected devices include LIFX bulbs, WIFI cameras, Android devices (via Tasker), and a myriad of homemade ESP8266 devices. \rbr\rbrMost people think having a connected home or apartment is out of reach or very expensive. It isnt at all! You could easily build a robust automation system for less than $150. \rbr\rbrLet me know in the comments if you have any questions or if there are any videos you want me to make. Feel free to hit me up on Twitter, too. If you like this video, sub and hit thumbs up. \rbr\rbrCheers,\rbrBen \rbr\rbr\rbr\rbr\rbrMy Home Assistant configuration is available here - \rbr\rbrParts Used:\rbr\rbrRaspberry Pi 3 - \rbrCase - \rbrSD Card - \rbrPower Supply - \rbrAeotec Z-Stick Gen 5 - \rbrNodeMCU ESP8266 Chip - \rbrRF Outlets -\rbr433 MHz RF RX TX - \rbrLIFX Color 1000 - \rbrLifx White 800 - \rbrEmergency Button - \rbrNodeMCU CH340 - \rbrMG995 Servo - \rbrArduino Uno Clone - \rbrWemo Insight - \rbrIP Cameras (I have a old Wansview one, but check out the newer ones) - \rbr3 Channel LED Strip - \rbrDigital RGB LED Strip - \rbr\rbrYou can find these parts cheaper on Ebay if you dont mind waiting on shipping.
