According to local authorities, six to ten people have died after a pedestrian bridge collapsed outside a university in Florida.
The newly installed bridge spanned several lans of traffic adjacent to Florida International University.
Scheduled to open next year, the bridge was part of a campus extension project that would connect the city of Sweetwater to the FIU campus.
At least eight vehicles were crushed or pinned to the road by the collapsing bridge.
