Hettie is a daily visitor, morning and night. She noticed the ducks and pukekos being fed and would swoop down and hop about between then, dashing in, nicking wheat grains, and flying or hopping out of the way. br br Quite a gutsy little lady, but a thief :o) br br Within a day or two after she first did this, her local marae mates all turned up, perching in the tree overhead. br br So, soon I was dropping a row of seeds into the flower box so they could also flit down onto the fencetop, line up along the side, look around, then hop into the flower box, and next second reappear, seed in beak, and fly back up into the tree. br br The constant quacking and squawking in the background is Daphne Duck, a very demanding customer who thankfully now seems to have taken her business else where.
