Students and unemployed youth who supported TDP and Chandrababu for his job promise have wither away as all their hopes were dashed with Chandrababu Naidu compromising with the Centre on Special Category Status issue. In fact, during electioneering, both the TDP and the BJP raised a lot of hopes on Special Status, saying investments will flow into the State and lot of employment is created. Now the hopes have gone and on the other, the promised unemployment allowance is not implemented. Naturally, the youth is literally waiting for a chance to teach a lesson or two to rule party.br br In fact, talking to a cross-section of people on the street reveals that not only the farmers and the unemployed youth every other section is disgusted with the government and its newfound priorities. The government employees, the traders, businessmen, artisans and others are disillusioned. The ever-growing political and administrate corruption, embezzlement of funds on fancy ideas and utopian thoughts like world class capital at the cost of pressing priorities have dismantled all the hopes the people reposed on TDP.br br Senior Congress leader and Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) vice-president N Tulasi Reddy alleged that the TDP has totally failed either in providing jobs to the unemployed youth or monthly financial assistance to them as per its election manifesto.br br Speaking to mediapersons here on Sunday, he pointed out that there are 2 lakh vacancies in various government departments.
