The Jodhpur trial court held Asaram Bapu guilty of raping a 16-year-old girl in August 2013 and sentenced him to life imprisonment till death. The court awarded life imprisonment to Asaram till death, while the two other co-accused got 20-year term. The father of the teenager raped by 77-year-old Asaram said he's satisfied with the court verdict. Asaram's lawyers would be approaching the High Court for bail today.
