In South Korea's National Assembly, lawmakers are holding talks to end a month-long deadlock.br The floor leaders of the four negotiation blocs... met on Monday at 11 AM... looking for a way forward on issues including an online opinion-rigging scandal... and parliamentary ratification of the Panmunjom Declaration.br Parties to the talks are Woo Won-sik of the ruling Democratic Party of Korea, Kim Sung-tae of the main opposition Liberty Korea Party, Kim Dong-cheol of the centrist Bareun Mirae Party, and Roh Hoe-chan of the Justice Party.br The talks were originally set for last Saturday,... but they were delayed after the Liberty Korea Party's Kim Sung-tae,... on a hunger strike demanding a probe into the opinion-rigging scandal,... was assaulted by a man apparently upset with the conservatives' hardline stance on North Korea.br The assault appears to have deepened the divide in parliament, so it's expected to be a rough session today.
