Evacuations were ordered on May 8 in Hawaii’s Lanipuna Gardens, part of the Leilani Estates community, as two volcanic fissures opened in the area.
Travis Sanders and Lava News returned to the scene to capture this footage of the lava flows consuming Leilani Avenue.
