Zinedine Zidane says he's stepping down as Real Madrid manager after two-and-a-half years at the helm of the Spanish football club.br Thursday's surprise announcement also comes less than a week after he guided the club to its third consecutive Champions League title. br br "I think it's the moment, both for me, the team and the club (to step down). It's a strange moment to do so, I know, but an important one too. I had to do this for everyone…..This team has to keep winning and needs a change in order to do so. They need a new voice, perhaps a different way to work and that is why I took this decision."br br The 45-year-old Frenchman took over from Rafael Benitez in January 2016 and has since won nine trophies, including one La Liga title.
