Ash Plumes Descend on Road After Fuego Volcano Eruption

pAt least 25 people were reported killed when Guatemala’s Fuego volcano erupted on June 3, sending plumes of rock, gas, and ash over nearby villages.ppThe volcano is located around 40 km southwest of Guatemala City. According to CONREDa, the National Disaster Management Agency, the departments of Sacatepequez, Escuintla and Chimaltenango were worst affected, and around 3,100 people were displaced as a result.ppAs seen in this video, the mixture of rock and gases, known as pyroclastic flow, rushed at speed down the mountainside, leaving little time for people to escape.
