U.S., Canada and Mexico Will Host 2026 World Cup After 32 years, the World Cup is returning to North America. FIFA’s 200-plus member associations voted to award the United States, Canada and Mexico the hosting rights beating out one rival bid from Morocco by a vote of 134 to 65. Dubbed the United Bid, it promises to deliver $11 billion of profit on over $14 billion in revenue. In the proposal, 60 of 80 games with be held in the United States, with 10 apiece in Canada and Mexico. The bid also proposes the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California to host the opener, Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta and AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas for the semifinals and MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey for the final. U.S., Canada and Mexico's teams automatically qualify for the World Cup due to the successful bid.
