Japan’s meteorological authoritya warned of “loosening ground,” heavy rain and flooding on July 8.ppKaori Kotani, who is visiting family in Gero, shared these videos and photos. She said her brother advised her family to escape to a shelter at 3 am on July 8, fearing a mudslide would hit the mountainous region.pp“We stayed shelter until 9:30 am.
