Harlem’s very own Melii, who rose to fame by creating viral remixes on her YouTube channel, is gearing up to release her debut project ‘Phases’ this summer. In March, the 20-year-old rapper dropped the project’s first single “Icey.” Although Melii has been putting out remixes and original tracks for years, she credits her “Bodak Yellow” remix she released in October 2017 as her big break, which led to her record deal with Interscope Records in early 2018. On the CT Beats-produced track, Melii raps about ignoring the hate and staying on top of her game.
