California Cranston Fire Erupts to Almost 5,000 Acres, Forces Evacuations

pCalifornia’s Cranston Fire grew to 4,700 acres and destroyed five homes by July 26, just one day after it sparked, according to ABC 7a.ppRoughly 2,000 homes were evacuateda in the Idyllwild, Lake Hemet, Apple Canyon, Mountain Center, Camp Scherman and Hurkey Creek areas.ppPolice arrested Brandon McGlover on July 25 for allegedly setting multiple fires, including the Cranston Fire, according to Cal Firea.ppThe San Bernadino National Forest tweeteda that the fire began off Highway 74 between Hemet and Mountain Center, California.
