Authorities shared details of a suspicious package that fell from the sky in New Jersey.

Authorities in South Brunswick, New Jersey on Tuesday responded to the report of a suspicious white package attached to a parachute at a solar panel field.
A news statement released by the South Brunswick Township Police Department noted that according to witnesses, "the package was making a hissing sound and there was a handwritten note attached to it indicating it was not a bomb and made mention of the President."
According to WNBC, the note read: "NASA Atmospheric Research Instrument NOT A BOMB! If found, please call [redacted]. If this lands near the President, we at NASA wish him a great round of golf."
This was the second package that had dropped down from the sky on the same day and with President Trump visiting Bedminster, New Jersey, multiple authorities were employed to investigate.
In the end, the package turned out to be a weather monitoring device.
"Investigators determined the item was 1 of 6 released on Sunday from the New Brunswick area by NASA scientist. These devices will come down after a period of time at random locations," the release explained. "The weather researchers were apologetic for any concerns they had raised by the hand written note on the device. There are no charges related to the incident."
