Imran Khan- From Cornered Tiger to Prime Minister ofbr Pakistanbr Khan was born to a Upper-middle class Pashtun fatherbr and Muhajir mother in Lahore, Punjab in 1952.br He got education from prestigious institutions likebr Aitchison College Lahore, Royal Grammar School inbr Worcester and Keble College, Oxford.br Started playing cricket in young age and debut forbr Pakistan at the age of 18.br He soon became one of the best players of his time.br He captained Pakistan and Won 1992 Cricket Worldbr cup.br Apart from cricket , he kept doing social work. Hisbr landmark projects are Shaukat Khanum Memorialbr Hospital( first cancer hospital of Pakistan) and NUMLbr University in Mianwali.br He founded his own political party on 25th April 1996br with the name of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(Movementbr for justice).br In 1997 General Elections, Khan contested from twobr seats NA-53 Mianwali and NA-94 Lahore, but lost tobr PML-N candidates on both seats, but kept struggling.br He supported Parvez Musharraf Martial Law in 1999.br In 2002 General Elections , Imran won his Mianwalibr seat and became only MNA of PTI.br On 2nd October 2007 Khan resigned from Parliament inbr protest to Musharraf’s Presidential Elections.br According to Imran Khan, President Musharraf offeredbr him Prime Ministership but he rejected.br He was sent to jail in 2007 after Musharraf imposedbr Emergency in the country.br Continuing his protest, he boycotted 2008 Generalbr Elections.br In the meantime he kept doing his efforts to mobilizebr the masses against the political mafia.br In 2011, Khan addressed more than one lac people inbr Lahore Minar-e-Pakistan Jalsa.br One of the biggest jalsa in country’s history lifted Khanbr as biggest challenge to the Political elites in the nextbr elections.br In result of his relentless efforts, PTI emerged as the 2ndbr Largest Political Party of Pakistan, And Khan as thebr most popular leader.br PTI also made government in KPK .br Imran Khan alleged 2013 elections as rigged andbr started movement to get justice.br The protest was started across the country with thebr demand of then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’sbr resignation.br The turning point of Imran Khan’s politics was Azaadibr March which he started on 14th August 2014 and itbr eventually became a long standing 126 days SitIn(Dharna)br in Islamabad Red Zone.br His only motive was to get rid of Corrupt Maafia.br His efforts made Political Maafia to bow down to thebr state.br His even physically got injured at so many occasionsbr but stay determined.br At last, In 2018 general election PTI came up as thebr biggest Political Party having representation frombr across the country.br And, KAPTAAN became the 22nd Prime Minister ofbr Islamic Republic of Pakistan.br br Subscribe our channel.br Share this video.
