As a veteran diver, Ken Stewart was looking for a new challenge. With an interest in marine archaeology, he founded Diving with a Purpose to help preserve the underwater legacy of the African slave trade. For giving divers a mission to explore and protect our shared national heritage, he is Scuba Diving’s August 2018 Sea Hero.
