How I destroyed my MTB wheel

How I destroyed my MTB wheel

Here's the zip tie hack: This is the wheel in the video And here are the spoke wrenches br This is an example of a wheel that's too bent to salvage. When truing wheels, there comes a point where the metal on the spoke nipple cannot take any more torque, and just disintegrates inside of your spoke wrench. It's at that point where you're better off buying a new wheel, or lacing a new hoop on to you old hub.br br Honestly, the one in the video is rideable now, and isn't noticeable while riding. Because mountain bikes have disc brakes, a slightly bent wheel does not put the bike completely out of commission.
