Try Chef Ruchi's version of Modak recipe i.e Fried Mawa Modak by following her steps and do let us know your feedback in the comments below.br br br Ingredients:br 200 grams KhoaMawa, gratedbr 1 tsp Gheebr 2 tbsp Rawa (Semolina)br 1 ½ tbsp Pistachio flakesbr 1 ½ tbsp Almond flakesbr 1 ½ tbsp Raisinsbr 1 tsp Cardamom powderbr 2 tbsp Desiccated Coconutbr ¼ tsp Saffron strands (soaked in milk)br 5-6 tbsp Powdered Sugarbr Oil for fryingbr br For Doughbr 1 cup Wheat Flourbr 1 tbsp Plain Flourbr 1 tbsp Semolinabr 1 tbsp OIlbr Pinch of saltbr br Method of preparation:br In a pan add mawa and roast it on low heat until the mawa dries out. Take it out on a plate and let it cool down.br In the same pan heat ghee, add rawa and heat it for 2-3 minutes.br Remove it out in a bowl and let it cool down.br Into the bowl containing rawa, add pistachio flakes, almond flakes, raisins, cardamom powder, desiccated coconut, saffron strands, mix well.br Add powdered sugar, mawa and mix well.br Make ½ inch balls of the mixture.br Take small portions of the dough, spread a little oil on the board and rolling pin.br Roll the dough, place the mawa stuffing in the centre and bring all the sides together.br Heat oil in a vessel and deep fry the modaks on low heat until they are golden brown in color.br Our Fried Mawa Modak is ready.br br For Doughbr In a bowl add wheat flour, plain flour, semolina, oil, salt and knead it into a dough.
