A number of marquees and landmarks along the Las Vegas Strip went dark on Monday night, October 1, to mark one year since Stephen Paddock opened fire on the crowd at a music festival from his room at the Mandalay Bay hotel, killing 58 people.

This footage shows a view of the Las Vegas Strip as a number of buildings go dark, including the Paris Las Vegas Hotel.

During the shooting, Paddock killed 58 people and wounded more than 400. Another 450 people were injured in the ensuing chaos, and Paddock was found dead in his hotel room by police. Credit: PatNShaker via Storyful
