The iconic gullwing Mercedes 300SL driven on track at Goodwood as we celebrate 60 years of the racing car that became a one of the most beautiful road cars ever made. In 1952 the Mercedez-Benz 300SL started as a racing car and 2 years later the production as a road car began. The Mercedes 300SL was first launched at the New York auto show and the production continued for 3 years, by which time 1,400 examples were built. It's an anniversary we couldn't let slip by, so what better than to bring one to Goodwood and have a proper look at it?br br Even after 60 years, the Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing remains one of the most beautiful cars of all time.
