The terrifying moment Melbourne police shot a man who allegedly stabbed three passerby has been caught on camera. A passerby was killed and two injured in the stabbing spree at central Melbourne on Friday before police could shoot the alleged attacker and bring the rush hour terror to a stop. The reason for the attack has yet to be confirmed. Police said they were responding to a call reporting a car on fire in Melbourne’s business district but a man waving a knife confronted them when they reached the spot. Eyewitness said they first heard a loud explosion when the car burst into flames but later saw the man attacking a few passerby. Police shot the alleged attacker in the chest, injuring him, and were holding him at a hospital under tight security.
