A massive avalanche swept near Runang village in Kinnaur nestled in Indian Himalayas on January 25. br br The avalanche brought down electricity poles and trees but missed the village by half a mile.br br A few village men had gathered at a higher point after hearing rumbling at a distant mountain. br br Shiv Negi, a resident of nearby Kinnaur, said the area had not witnessed an avalanche since 2013.
